FAQ: Visit Malmö Arena

How do we get to Malmö Arena?

Its easy to get to Malmö Arena with both trains and buses. You will find practical information and routes under Getting here, completed with maps.
There are taxi ranks right alongside Malmö Arena.

When do the doors open?

The restaurants open no later than 2 hours prior to the start of a performance/event. For those who do not have a table reservation in any of our restaurants, the foyer opens approximately 1,5 hour prior to the start of a performance/event. More information is available for each event on the event page.

Are there cloakrooms in the arena?

At some events there are cloakrooms available. The fee is 30 SEK incl. VAT for jackets and 40 SEK incl. VAT for bags. You can pay with card. Malmö Arena is not responsible for loose items and valuables in the stored garments. If you lose your wardrobe ticket you are asked to wait until the cloakroom is empty. See each event for more information regarding the cloakroom.

Malmö Arena adheres to the authority decision 1/11 regarding a total ban of bags at major public events, this applies to all types of bags regardless of size. This also includes plastic bags, clear and covered. Exceptions may be made for people who for medical reasons need to bring a smaller bag.

Is camera and recording equipment allowed?

Sophisticated camera equipment and audio/visual recording equipment is not allowed (see reverse of ticket). At some events, no photography at all is allowed and searches may be carried out at the main entrance.

Can I pay with cash at Malmö Arena?

No! Malmö Arena is a cashless Arena and you can only pay by card.

Where can I enquire about lost items?

Enquiries concerning lost items may be made Monday-Friday on phone: +46 (0)40-642 04 00.

Is it permitted to smoke in the Arena?

Smoking is not permitted in Malmö Arena. This also applies to e-cigarettes. For selected events, a special smoking area will be opened. Ask a member of our entrance staff when you are here.

Are there disability spaces?

For sporting events and selected concerts/performances, there will be a total of 53 reserved places for spectators in wheelchairs and the same number of places for those accompanying them. For concerts and other events where the stage is relocated, the number of wheelchair places is subject to change. For wheelchair reservations, please call +46 (0)77-578 00 00.

Does Malmö Arena have baby cushions available for hire?

No, but you are welcome to take your own baby cushions into Malmö Arena.

How high is the sound level?

The sound level at some concerts can be high. Concertgoers are themselves responsible for taking precautionary measures.

Do you sell hearing protection at the arena?

Yes, ear plugs and music plugs are being sold inside the arena.

Are there hearing aid for hearing impaired persons?

Yes, the venue has a limited number of hearing amplifiers to lend. These need to be pre-booked contacting info@malmoarena.com

How do we make Study Visits / Guided Tours?

For the time being it is not possible to organise study visits or guided tours.

What is prohibited to bring in to the arena?
  • No food or drinks from outside the arena are allowed.
  • If we consider a person to be too intoxicated, he/she will not be allowed to enter Malmö Arena.
  • No camera or recording devices and/or selfiesticks are allowed
  • No pets of any kind are allowed.
  • Malmö Arena adheres to the authority decision 1/11 regarding a total ban of bags at major public events, this applies to all types of bags regardless of size. This also includes plastic bags, clear and covered. Exceptions may be made for people who for medical reasons need to bring a smaller bag.
  • Its not allowed to bring scooters or bikes in to the arena, neither the batteries for them.

Before entering the arena, there will be a security check.

Be aware that above rules apply unless there is other information on each events own eventinformation.

Why is there sometimes an age limit of 13 years old at your events?

We follow the recommendations from The Public Health Agency of Sweden.

Am I allowed to bring flags/banners/posters in to the arena?

Flags, banners and posters are OK to bring but must be shown to entrance security. Its not allowed to have any political or offensive messages.
The flag poles must be in VP plastic. Some events may have specific rules and regulations regarding size, material and design. At some events you are not allowed to bring flags.

Make sure you check with us before you get here so that your flag/banner/poster is allowed.

Am I allowed to bring megaphones or horns?

Megaphones and horns are not allowed.

Where can I find the section Parkett?

Parkett is situated on the arena floor - in front of and on the same floor level at the stage.

Can I bring a baby stoller to Malmö Arena?

For safety reasons and for maing sure no escape routes are blocked, no stollers are allowed inside the bowl. You can place it in the foyer. Ask a member of staff when you are here.

Make sure you also check the age limit before you get here. A lot of event have a age limit of 13.

Where can I file a complaint regarding you events?

Let our staff know at the event and we might be able to help you right away. Furthermore, you can contact us on email: info@malmoarena.com

Note that even though you have bought a seat in the arena - we can not guarantee that the people in front of you will remain seated during a whole concert.

FAQ: Food & Drink

Is it allowed to bring food and beverage from outside into the arena?

It is not allowed to bring food or beverages into the arena. We here summarize the reasons for this:

  1. In our own control program regarding food and beverage we have a responsibility to secure that food and beverages that are being consumed in Malmö Arena is being handled in a hygienic and good way.
  2. At many events the artist’s or the production’s security organization doesn’t allow food and beverage being brought in. The reason for this is that thru a security perspective it is impossible to secure that for example alcohol or flammable liquids not are being brought in.
  3. Our liquor license is based on that we have control of age, serving areas and sobriety.

If there is a need for special diet our ambition is to always be accommodating and find solutions as long as it’s possible. Email us at security@malmoarena.com and we will try to coordinate it.

Are the restaurants always open?

Our restaurants are only open in connection with performances/events and from 2 hours prior to the start of the performance/event.

Percy’s restaurant is open daily between 11.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. except for summer months.

When should restaurant table reservations be made?

Table reservations must be made no later than 2 days in advance of an event.

How do I make a table reservation?

Table reservations may be made by e-mail to restaurang@malmoarena.com or by phone on +46 (0) 40-642 04 44.
Our telephone hours are: Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday - Sunday (only when performances/events are taking place) from 11 a.m. until 2 hours prior to the start of the performance/event.

If I make a table reservation by e-mail, how do I know that you have received it?

We always send a confirmation by e-mail showing the restaurant, date and time of your reservation.

How do I pay for my restaurant visit?

Your bill is presented on finishing your meal and may be settled by card payment.

Do I receive a booking number when I make a table reservation?

No, your name serves as your reference.

Do you have special children’s menus?

Yes, there is always an alternative menu for children. You have to contact us in advance to book this.

Are you able to buy fast food/drinks/snacks at the arena?

Yes, we have fastfood kiosks at every event where we offer for example burgers, hot dogs, snacks, drinks and candy. We have vegetarian selection.

FAQ: Food & Drink - Orders online

How do I make a reservation online?

Go to the event you wish to attend and click on, Book here! Then follow all the steps until your booking is complete and payment has been accepted. You will then receive confirmation to the email address specified.

Do I have to pay directly when I book online?

To ensure your booking is confirmed, you have to pay directly. You can pay with either a bank card or a credit card.

Will I get a refund if I cancel my reservation online?

Yes, if it is within the guidelines of our cancellation policy, your money will be returned to the account from which it was taken.

Cancellation must be made in writing to restaurang@malmoarena.com no later than 15.00, 2 days before the event, otherwise your card will be charged.

How are my bank/credit card details handled?

When ordering through Pej, the payment is handled by Stripe, an external payment company. They are processing our transactions and all information around them. We don’t save any credit card information - neither locally in the application nor at an external server. Stripe is an admittedly payment system that operates in more than 100 countries, helping more than 100 000 companies and handle billions of transactions yearly. You may always remove any information Pej handle.

When does the Ticket Office open at Malmö Arena?

The Ticket Office opens 2 hours prior to an event.
Please note that the opening hours are preliminary and may be subject to change.

Can I purchase a gift voucher?

You can purchase a giftcard at ticketmaster.se

Did you purchase your ticket/s second hand?

Malmö Arena cannot guarantee the authenticity of second hand purchased tickets. To be on the safe side, always buy your tickets from authorized agents.
