Malmö Arena to Host Melodifestivalen Once Again as Sweden’s Biggest Music Celebration Comes to Malmö

It is now confirmed that Malmö will once again be one of the stops on the Melodifestivalen 2027 tour. On Saturday, 20 February, the third semi-final will take place at Malmö Arena, with the dress rehearsal on Friday, 19 February. On Saturday, audiences will also have the opportunity to attend the afternoon dress rehearsal before the evening’s major live broadcast.

Melodifestivalen is one of Sweden’s biggest annual celebrations. When the tour arrives in Malmö, Malmö Arena will be filled with a weekend of music, entertainment and the unique Mello atmosphere.

Malmö has a strong tradition as a host city for Melodifestivalen, and when the tour returns to Malmö Arena, the city will once again play an important role in Sweden’s biggest music celebration.

The 2027 Melodifestivalen tour will be hosted by Oscar Zia and Björn Kjellman. This will be the first time they host the competition together. For Björn Kjellman, it will be his debut as a host of Melodifestivalen, but he is no stranger to Mello – having both competed as an artist and worked as a Eurovision commentator, as well as possessing an impressive knowledge of songs. Oscar Zia returns after previously hosting the competition twice.

  • Main entrance opens

    Friday & Saturday evening - 2h before show starts.
    Saturday Matiné Show - 1,5h before show starts.

  • How to get here

    It is very easy to get to Malmö Arena by public transportation. Hyllie Station and the bus stops are only about 2 minutes away from our main entrances. For more information about how to find your way here, click here

  • Security

    Make sure to be well on time to your event. This will help us minmize the queues and to make your entry will be as smooth as possible. You are not allowed to bring any professional audio or video equipment into the arena. You may not bring your own food and drink. It is not allowed to bring any scooters or bikes or the electrical batteries for them. Smoking is only allowed outdoors. A stamp must be obtained at one of the entrances before you leave the arena.

  • Bags 

    Bag with a maximum size of 20×30x10cm is allowed.

  • Wardrobe

    Wardrobes are available on site for a fee. We only accept card payments.

  • Tickets

    Everyone attending the event must present a valid ticket. ATTENTION! Always buy your tickets from authorized ticket resellers. Second-hand sites usually sell tickets at higher prices and without guarantee that they are genuine. We do not exchange or replace tickets that have been purchased secondhand. Any comments on your places/sight must always be made directly on site, after the event is completed, the places are considered approved by you as a visitor.
